Are Commercial-scale Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Systems Viable Now?

Carbon Friendly Enterprises Are commercial-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) systems viable now?

Carbon Friendly Enterprises (CFE) Principal Project Engineer, Zim Solo, presented at the recent SEGRA Conference in Mackay on how businesses can improve their financial resilience by introducing renewable energy sources including solar power to their electricity supply systems.

Mr. Solo explains that for most business electricity is the second highest financial overhead cost after wages and investing in renewables lowers the cost of capital, increases operational performance and even stock price performance is positively influenced.

He further outlines how a commercial-scale solar photovoltaic system in Queensland is financially viable today and can pay itself of in as little as 2.1 years of operation with a 47% Return on Investment (ROI).
